Ken Kelleher Presents a Solo Exhibition with W1 Curates in London

Works from the artist’s Luminal Pop vocabulary are shown across sculpture and canvas in the heart of the capital.

London, United Kingdom

LONDON — Internationally recognized sculptor Ken Kelleher, also known as Anchorball, has presented a solo exhibition with W1 Curates, bringing works from his Luminal Pop vocabulary — bold form, saturated colour and emotionally expressive character — across sculpture and works on canvas to one of London’s most visible cultural platforms.

The exhibition positions Kelleher’s character-based practice within a fine-art context, demonstrating how imagery rooted in popular culture can be developed with the formal discipline, material ambition and authorship of serious contemporary art.

Showing the work in London mattered to me. It’s a chance to place characters that people think of as playful inside a serious artistic conversation — and to let them hold their own there.
— Ken Kelleher (aka Anchorball)

For galleries, collectors and institutions, the exhibition marks an important moment in Kelleher’s international trajectory, underscoring the movement of character-led work from popular imagery into collectible and institutional settings.

The W1 Curates presentation continues Kelleher’s engagement with major cultural venues, extending the reach of Low Orbit City into the exhibition space.
