There is no stadium and there is no season. There is a ring wherever two of them decide to stand, which is everywhere, which is most of the time. They wrestle at breakfast. They wrestle over directions. They wrestle to settle whether a thing is genuinely heavy or whether you are simply tired.

Every match is part sport, part science, part philosophy. They push, fall, get back up, compare what happened, and try again.

Nobody keeps score, because a score would answer the wrong question. What gets recorded is what was learned — that a low centre holds, that a friend’s weight sits differently from a stranger’s, that the ground is a teacher and not a punishment. A loss is simply a result nobody has finished reading yet.
