Ken Kelleher’s Papillon Enters the Permanent Collection of Al Khaliji Bank in Doha

DOHA — Internationally recognized sculptor Ken Kelleher, also known as Anchorball, has completed Papillon, a three-metre bronze sculpture now part of the permanent collection of Al Khaliji Bank, installed in the lobby of the bank’s new headquarters in Doha.

Realized in bronze — a material associated with permanence and cultural value — the work brings Kelleher’s Elemental vocabulary into a significant institutional setting, giving the headquarters a distinctive and enduring identity.

For institutions and collectors, the commission demonstrates the movement of Kelleher’s work into permanent corporate and cultural collections.

Papillon is among the earliest of Kelleher’s major international institutional placements, part of a body of work now installed across four continents.
