Ken Kelleher’s OOLALA Anchors Centralcon’s C Future Lab
A three-metre stainless steel sculpture becomes a focal point for a platform exploring the future of urban space.

CHINA — Internationally recognized sculptor Ken Kelleher, also known as Anchorball, has installed OOLALA, a three-metre stainless steel sculpture, at Centralcon’s C Future Lab — an innovation platform dedicated to exploring city patterns and the relationship between urban life and public space.
The work brings Kelleher’s Elemental vocabulary into a forward-looking cultural setting, using resolved form and a highly finished surface to create a focal point that reflects the ambitions of the space around it.

The best public sculpture gives people a reason to gather. OOLALA was made to be that centre of gravity — a form that draws the eye and holds a space together.— Ken Kelleher (aka Anchorball)
For developers and cultural investors, the installation demonstrates how a single monumental work can establish identity, scale and a lasting sense of place within an ambitious new environment.
OOLALA continues Kelleher’s engagement with cultural and innovation platforms exploring the future of the city.
