Ken Kelleher’s Inner Child, a Set of Four Sculptures, Installed at Krasnodar Park

A three-metre stainless steel ensemble arranged in a circle celebrates imagination and play.

Krasnodar, Russia

KRASNODAR — Internationally recognized sculptor Ken Kelleher, also known as Anchorball, has installed Inner Child, a set of four three-metre stainless steel sculptures arranged in a circle at Krasnodar Park.

Bridging Kelleher’s Luminal Pop and Elemental languages, the ensemble represents the playful spirit of imagination and the curiosity of the child in each of us — a group of forms designed to be experienced together, in the round, within a major public park.

Inner Child is about the part of us that never stops playing. Arranging four figures in a circle turns the sculpture into a place — somewhere people gather, not just something they look at.

For developers and civic partners, the work demonstrates how a sculptural ensemble can create a destination within a public landscape.

Inner Child reflects Kelleher’s ability to move between character and abstraction, creating works that are joyful, accessible and enduring.
