The Balancing series interrogates equilibrium — the moment at which forces in opposition achieve a precarious, temporary resolution. These works in steel and composite explore weight, counterweight, and the sculptural tension of objects held in suspension.
Developed across Kelleher's Elemental practice, the Balancing works use precision engineering to create forms that appear physically impossible: masses of stainless steel that appear to rest on a single point of contact with the earth.
